Recognizing the importance of strong public schools, Farmers Agent John Forbes chose to sponsor the annual golf tournament hosted by the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation (RBEF).
The RBEF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise money to supplement state funds for staff and educational program in all RBUSD schools.
Established in 1991 by a group of concerned parents and community leaders who realized that an excellent school system could not rely solely on state3 funding, RBEF raises money through its annual investor drive, business sponsorships and events.
In sponsoring the golf tournament, John commented, "This is my first year sponsoring this tournament and my 3rd year of playing in it. RBEF does a great job supporting all Redondo schools. I have one son that graduated last year and one in 8th grade and both have benefited from their good work and financial support so I was happy to support them."
